PS - Agradeço algumas fotos ao BTT100STRESS, durante algum tempo rolamos juntos e à ACCIN.
It was with some afraid of rain that I went to Proença-a-Velha. The grey morning walked to a sunny day.
In the morning my glicemy was 133 mg/dL, a regular breakfast with carbohydrates on the bread, milk with coffee and orange juice, one a race day I reduce by half the amount of my Mistard 30 ® insulin (I do not mention values, the measures I adopts is the knowledge that I have established with my diabetes, it’s NOT a rule for any diabetic).
I lifted the dorsal and with the style of a true Mediterranean citizen I arrived practically at the end of the platoon waiting for the started signal, still munching a banana.
With single tracks we beginning the III Olive Oil Track, with many slippery rocks led to falls, paining the shins and knees, very technical route till Madelim, 1st supply zone.
A cake named “borrachão”, an apple and water were my supply, haying time to take a photo with a recently friend, João Valente from the blog btt-hal.blogspot.com.
How I felt rhythmic I follow, continuing the single tracks and some areas, that I suppose, led the name "camel trophy", a lot of mud, on excess for my taste, it’s look good on the bike, but if we fall can cause an uncontrolled bath spa!
One excellent event, with technical sections, roads, wooden bridges made for the event (sorry we move so fast), stunning views with the colors of spring, mud, pass throw water lines, climbs after downhill’s, single tracks "fabulous the 2nd supply zone, flanked by the Idanha-a-Nova dam, here, a pig was lay down, already thin, which rolled each biker that passed and fed from it, amazing this supply zone!
Fortunately for me I took bars and gels while "kissing" orange quarters, the hypo would make me stopped in the middle of a track, causing a bike traffic stunting!!!
Already rolled the last kilometers, went painful, due to lack of training with the irregularity of climbing, down, up, making my body breaking down, starting with a hypo-glicemy, immediately fight with the carbohydrates, recovering a little more for the last single tracks, leave me to the finish line.
Excellent ride, I repeat. Congratulations to the organization ACIN.
